Greek seasons are American drama created by Patrick Sean Smith and its name is promoted in faux-Greek alphabet as GRΣΣK. Its
opening theme “Our Time Now”, played on commercials, has been composed by John Swihart. The show has been produced by Lloyd Segan and Shawn Piller. Originally the show has been broadcasted on ABC Family channel in 720 Progressive (720P), HDTV picture and 5.1 surround sound Audio format. Greek season 1 was premiered on 9th July, 2007.
Even though the show consists of ensemble cast, Casey and Rusty appear to be the protagonist. Casey is a dynamic member of a sorority on campus and soon becomes ZBZ President. Casey, Cappie and Evan share a constant love triangle. She is elder sister of Rusty, who suddenly decides to rush Greek. Rusty finds it a little bit difficult to balance his studies and duties but succeeds after getting help from her and big brother, Cappie. He and Cappie becomes social rival after pledging different houses. He dated Jen k before dating Jordan, both of whom were ZBZ pledge. Cappie is a smart witty person but unable to attract the girl of his dreams. He resembles singer Rob Thomas and sometimes called by the same name by Rebecca. He does not reveal his real name and is president of black sheep fraternity. Many new characters are introduced throughout the series and all situations have somewhere connection with Greeks. Greek seasons have won lots of awards and nominations like Image 2009 Award nomination for Outstanding Actor in a Comedy Series. The show has been nominated twice by Gay & Lesbian Alliance against Defamation (GLAAD) in 2008 and 2009 in the Outstanding Comedy Series category and Outstanding Drama Series award. It has many times achieved highest ratings among male viewers and second among females. It has also appeared in ‘Top Ten Download’ TV shows. Millions of viewers who watch the show regularly have become its hard core fans. Greek season 4 has been started since 31st august, 2009.
